DCE for Sawla attack Police Commander & BNI Officer


The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sawla Tamimu Lawal has attacked the  Sawla District Police Commander ASP De-Graft Adjei  and the District BNI officer for arresting properties of the district Assembly in a Kia truck with registration number GS 3781-13.

According to an eyewitness, the Kia truck was loading government properties such as beds, mattresses, furniture, Tables, street lights,TV and some sound systems.

The eyewitness says the police and BNI went to find out where those items were being taken to but unfortunately, the DCE attacked them verbally and and asked the police commander to come for a fight.

In an interview with the Sawla district Police commander De-Graft Adjei, he said they had received a call that the DCE had started packing out from the DCEs residency and some of the items were having the Assembly’s name printed on them. The commander said he went with the BNI officer to check on the properties the DCE was packing out. He said they were attacked by Tamimu Lawal when they approached him and enquired why he was packing government properties away.

The district Police commander added that, the DCE has accused them of being NDC hence have no right to stop him from packing at this time.

ASP De-Graft Adjei added that, the DCE has asked them to come out for a fight after he was caught with government properties in a Kia truck. The BNI officer also added that the DCE said he can't work with them again and has promised to transfer the two officers out of the district.
