Martin Amidu To Receive All Outstanding Emoluments



President Nana Akufo-Addo has directed the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Oosei-Opare, to ensure that all emoluments and benefits due the immediate past Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu, are paid.

Mr Amidu resigned from the Office of the Special Prosecutor on Monday, November 16, 2020 citing political interference.

He also raised concerns about the payment of emoluments and benefits due him and his assistant since taking the office in February 2018.

The Chief of Staff, in a letter dated Tuesday, November 17, and addressed to Mr Amidu said “The President has directed me to ensure that all emoluments and benefits due you under law are paid to you accordingly.”

The letter also indicated that the President had accepted his resignation letter and would respond to his concerns in due course.
