Jordan Ayew To Captain Ghana Against Sudan

Crystal Palace striker Jordan Ayew is expected to wear the captain’s armband for the first time against Sudan in Omdurman in a 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier.

With the absence of the injured captain Andre Ayew and deputy Thomas Partey, and the suspension of goalkeeper Richard Ofori, Jordan is one of the few senior players tipped to lead the team against Sudan.

Ghana beat Sudan last Thursday November 12, to move to 9 points, and a win today will see them qualify again for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Here’s the starting line up of the team:

Lawrence Ati-Zigi

Nicholas Opoku

Abdul Baba Rahman

John Boye

Alexander Djiku

Afriyie Acquah

Tarique Fosu

Mubarak Wakaso

Caleb Ekuban

Jordan Ayew

Jeffery Schlupp
