Opoku Onyinah Jabs Owusu Bempah At NPP Thanksgiving

The immediate past Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Opoku Nyina, has in the presence of Prophet Owusu Bempah cautioned prophets against prophecies on elections and death.

Prophet Owusu Bempah is known to be giving election prophecies for the past few years and regularly predicting possible happenings at his end of year services. Notable is death related prophecies of prominent persons. 

Apostle Opoku Nyina on the occasion took the opportunity to ask prophets not to predict winners of an impending election and also  refrain from foretelling the death of people.

The two prophets clashed on the platform of the NPP's thanksgiving service held on Sunday where they took turns to speak at the event. 

According to him, such prophecies creates tension and retards the growth of the party.

He made the remarks whilst delivering a sermon at the NPP nations Thanksgiving service on the theme, Ebenezer, thus how far the lord has helped us.

“A true prophet must be neutral of knowledge and wisdom that their prophecies does not cause panic. My plea to our prophets is not to prophecy on who will die and who will lose an election. Our duty as prophets must be to lead society’s face to God,” he said. 


But in a sharp response to him, Prophet Owusu Bempah on his turn to speak, stated that he will continue to prophesy in spite of the caution against such practice.

A Ghanaian and Founder of the Nobel International Business School in Accra, Professor Kwaku Atuahene-Gima, has been named as one among the top two per cent scientists in the world. The most coveted and prestigious list of World Ranking of top two per cent scientists published on October 16, 2020, featured Professor Atuahene-Gima of the Nobel International Business School (NiBS), one of only two universities in Ghana with faculty on the list. The report, prepared by a team of researchers at Stanford University led by Prof. John P. A. Loannidis, was published in PLOS Biology-prestigious publication forum. Boko Haram Slaughters 43 Farmers in Nigeria, Destroys Rice Farms

Suspected Boko Haram members have slaughtered 43 farmers at a rice plantation in Borno State, Nigeria. The insurgents were also said to have destroyed the rice plantation after slaughtering all the farmers in yet another major attack in the state. Reacting to the dastardly slaughter of the farmers, Amnesty International in a tweet condemned the targeting of civilians, saying it shows the group’s contempt for human life. The body, therefore, urged Boko Haram to “end its campaign of vicious and unlawful killings of civilians”. Even though details are still sketchy, the attack has triggered anger in several communities fearful of the worsening insecurity in the state and the country generally.  Nigerians have vented their anger on social media condemning the government for its apparent failure to secure lives of its citizens.
