I welcome bailout of Blackshield customers - Dr. Kwesi Nduom


 

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Nduom, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, has welcomed government’s decision to pay up to GH¢50,000 to each customer whose money is locked up in the 20 defunct fund management companies (FMCs).


Government last Tuesday announced that it had taken a “compassionate” decision to partially bailout customers of the remaining defunct FMCs whose firms are still undergoing liquidation processes.

In welcoming government’s decision, Dr Nduom in a Facebook post said his outfit would continue to work with the authorities to ensure that what was due to the customers was fully paid.

 The presidential candidate of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), Dr. Henry Lartey, says John Dramani Mahama’s decision to challenge the outcome of the 2020 polls in court will prove futile.  Speaking to Star FM News, the flagbearer for GCPP, said the National Democratic Congress (NDC’s) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama   clearly  lost the presidential race to the incumbent, President Akufo-Addo. “You’ve lost the election, he shouldn’t go to court; it’s a waste of money,” he said.  Dr Henry Lartey who doubles as the Secretary-General for the West African Association of Political Parties also maintained the NDC flagbearer is just acting under pressure.  He said he  believed that Mahama is being pressurised by some elements in the NDC to continuously reject the outcome of the elections.
