The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) is calling for the suspension of this year’s Christmas over fears there could be a spike in the spread of the coronavirus pandemic which has killed more than a million across the globe. “As it’s happening elsewhere, we are pleading with people that Christmas is just a day or few days, so why don’t we suspend it. President Akufo-Addo in his latest appointment at the presidency in his second term has retained Akosua Frema Osei-Opare as his Chief of Staff. The President has also maintained Nana Bediato Asante and Eugene Arhin as secretary to the president and director of communications at the presidency respectively. The replacement for Samuel Abu Jinapor and Francis Asenso-Boakye as deputy chief of staff, who are now Parliamentarians are Emmanuel Adumua-Bossman and Fawaz Aliu.
