Bawumia Buys Waakye With QR Code



Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has today bought a GHS60 worth of Waakye from a popular Waakye seller in Accra, Auty Muni Waakye, with the  Universal QR Code.

The Bank of Ghana has launched a universal Quick Response (QR) Code payment solution with HPS, making it the first African country to introduce a universal QR code.

Testing the system, the Vice president himself and some of his entourage tried it and it worked perfectly at the Aunty Muni Waakye joint. He did the payment himself and expressed happiness with how it worked.

You Lost, Going To Court Will Amount to Nothing -Dr Henry Lartey to Mahama

 The presidential candidate of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), Dr. Henry Lartey, says John Dramani Mahama’s decision to challenge the outcome of the 2020 polls in court will prove futile.  Speaking to Star FM News, the flagbearer for GCPP, said the National Democratic Congress (NDC’s) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama   clearly  lost the presidential race to the incumbent, President Akufo-Addo. “You’ve lost the election, he shouldn’t go to court; it’s a waste of money,” he said.  Dr Henry Lartey who doubles as the Secretary-General for the West African Association of Political Parties also maintained the NDC flagbearer is just acting under pressure.  He said he  believed that Mahama is being pressurised by some elements in the NDC to continuously reject the outcome of the elections.
